Putrid Lord Money Steal

Putrid Lord's ability "Devourer" reads on the rfo page that it should steal 1-5k money from a person you have killed depending on level. I have this ability maxed and although I recieve a message that I am stealing money from x amount of people that I killed in the round, I am not recieving it. It is almost like it is actually taking the money from me. Doing well on the race right now has my bank depleting.

After talking with the people on the server it seems that I am GIVING them 5k instead of stealing it from them.
